Job Title: Admissions Coordinator

Pay scale: $25-28/Hour


Serves as the internal Admissions Director, ensuring that each referral is treated with urgency and professionalism, increasing census and working with the Interdisciplinary Team to ensure all admissions transition into the facility smoothly.


  • N.F. Experience preferred
  • 2-4 year degree in social work preferred
  • Must possess a genuine interest in geriatric care
  • Have proven ability to interact and attempt to communicate with the elderly
  • Must possess excellent leadership and communication skills, be creative, fun loving and have a caring disposition towards the elderly.
  • Typing and marketing skills preferred
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision; problem solving; conflict management; and budgeting


  • To perform facility marketing activities including public relations efforts, perspective resident generation, tours, perspective resident follow up, direct sales and sales monitoring and any other aspects required from the facility’s marketing plan to ensure maximum marketing results.
  • With general guidance and input from the management team, develop and implement marketing plans for the facility that involves competition studies, strengths and weaknesses, outreach goals, budget census goals, methods and systems for achieving the goals, and other items.
  • To perform community relations functions and participate in local community activities for the facility; with particular attention to clergy, medical, legal, financial and business communities who would have influence with the senior market.
  • Maintain appropriate contact with senior centers, Chamber of Commerce, clubs, associations, city or county organizations, media organizations, churches, elder attorneys, trust officers, senior services, local government senior agencies, hospitals, discharge planners, real estate brokers, financial planners, social workers, home health agencies, and any other community groups. Prepare and deliver presentations as needed.
  • To perform all job functions in a manner which will ensure company profitability by meeting all facility activity and marketing budgets as well as census guidelines as set by the corporation.
  • To otherwise be available to give tours, as needed.
  • Manage the lead tracking system (CRM) by updating daily to promote timely follow-up, accurate marketing statistics and improved marketing communications.
  • With the general guidance and assistance from the management team, develop and implement in-house events and functions that will generate new traffic into the facility. These events and functions should be held frequently. The events and function should include any of the following: existing residents, family members, prospective residents, hot leads, guests, community leaders, outside organizations, etc.
  • Conduct in-depth interview with prospective residents and other necessary parties to determine qualifications for residents and to the community and to make referrals to other facilities as may be appropriate.
  • Conduct in depth competition studies to determine strengths and weaknesses, census levels, rental rates, range of services, department leaders, advertising and promotions, menu and food service, activities, amenities, etc.
  • Be fully prepared to discuss with prospective residents the facilities and services of the community during assigned working hours, and at such other times as may be requested by prospective residents or management.
  • Develop an action plan and providing a definitive follow up to all inquiries made by prospective residents concerning the community and the services it offers.
  • Assist in the arrangements for in coordination of move in for new residents.
  • Maintain current, accurate and appropriate reports for every census report and other such records. These reports and documents will include but are not limited to, weekly census and projection reports, follow up communication, community outreach reports, referral sources, advertising success tracking, etc.
  • Manage all collateral marketing materials including handouts, postcards, brochures, etc.
  • Identify overall trends in the marketplace that would indicate adjustments to be made in the overall marketing strategy for the facility or in individual instances.
