As everyone knows, music is “the universal language” that can move us deeply. Research proves that music has the ability to stimulate memory. The Music and Memory program is a non-profit organization that offers the means to create a personalized playlist of favorite songs for any individual who may benefit. The individual and their loved ones choose their favorite songs and the songs are downloaded to an iPod Shuffle, then the music is delivered through headphones to each individual. Personalized music is shown to help a wide range of people, including those who have limited access to activities, live with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other cognitive diseases.
